I'm a native Texan and grew up in the western part of the state. As a child sitting around campfires, I listened to stories about adventure, bandits and lost treasure. Those stories fueled my imagination. After graduation from high school, I joined the United States Air Force and furthered my formal education. When I was stationed at a remote location, I began to write short stories. After my military retirement, I submitted stories to a well-known magazine, which were accepted and published. This began my writing career. Today, I write on a full-time basis encouraged by my loving and very supportive husband, Larry.

All of my books are works of fiction, and written about life in the 1800s. They never contain sexually graphic text or extremely vulgar language. In my opinion, that does little to enhance a good story. With my books, it is possible to escape into a different era--simply for the pleasure of it. It is not unusual to find actual events or places mentioned in my writing. My husband and I live on the Oregon coast, and when I'm not writing, I enjoy walking on the beach, and listening to the lull of the foghorn.
